Yesterday I opened the fridge and was randomly gazing in, day dreaming about what I was going to make for supper. Imagining a huge slice of chocolate cake smothered in dark chocolate icing...when POP !!!! Something flew out the fridge and hit me smack on the side of my right cheek! I got such a fright that I screamed....a real GIRLY scream!!
I looked to see what it was that had come alive and attacked me and it was the lid of the orange juice bottle!! It had obviously gone off and the gases had just pushed the lid off, the same time I happened to open the fridge!
I almost peed my pants with fright! ha ha!!!

I think it knocked some nonsense into me though, cos i haven't been the same since!

Anyway my sister Jen has a beautiful new kit out called Flutterbies and Pollipops-don't you just love the cute twist to the name??

I have to stop buying kits!! Will somebody stop me!! ha ha...I haven't even done a scrap page, apart from today, in about 3 months! And yet the impulse to buy beautiful digital kits is just too great! I am determined to use them before I buy anymore though.. {yeah right!!}

It still surprises me when I go to download a freebie myself or if I go and check my own own downloads how little people take the time to say thank you. It is as if people have no manners anymore. When I first started in the digi-scrapping community in 2005, just about everyone commented on a blog post or a left a simple thank you on the blog or on 4shared. Now there can be 400 downloads and 2 people say thank you. We need to remember that designers take from their personal time to make something for free, which is in actual fact a gift. Who doesn't in real life, in person, not say thank you when a gift is given? Very few of us, why should it be in any different when we cannot see the person on the other side of the computer screen?
Thank you for reading, most of us don't give stuff away just for the praise and comments, having said that, we still like to read a thank you note and there's no denying it makes my personal day.

Freebie and reveal of new kit!

It's been a busy start to the year with my son going to grade 3 and my daughter starting grade 1. She was so excited and I was fine, I managed to hold it together until I got home and then I had a good bawl! ha ha!

So here is the big reveal!!!

I'm Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, it feels likes years since i last blogged!! lol!
I had a fantastic break and it's good to be back!
I have a lot of photo's to share with you.

Well December was a VERY busy month. We had visitors stay with us almost the whole month.
Friends of ours from England and then my sister in law and her daughter from NZ came to stay for 3 weeks and 1 week of that we went camping together to along the Garden Route.
We went to a place called Birds of Eden and Monkeyland.
Birds of Eden is a unique two hectare dome (the world's largest) and spans over a gorge indigenous forest. It has a canopy walk. All the birds fly free.

NOTE: all images taken by me, (forgot to put my siggie on some of them) and are copyrighted material.


South Africa's National bird is the Blue Crane
This bird is only found in South Africa and is called The Knysna Lourie. Knysna is a place along the South African Garden Route. There are different types of this particular bird.

I haven't done a scrap page in what feels like forever and I haven't done any designing since "Days gone by" kit.
