Guinea Fowls and flowers

I took my kids to our local nature reserve. It was quite hot, but very windy. We spread a blanket under the shade of a big old oak tree and painted with water colors! It was so relaxing. We each painted guinea fowl that we saw walking around and then got some oak leaves, painted those and pressed them onto the paper.
Here is mine...hee hee, had fun doing this.

You know it's spring when you see this happening everywhere!! Ha ha. My kids wanted to know what they were doing... *blush* the sounds emanating from the male were hilarious. My daughter thought it was "cute" and started coping the sounds!! I was almost in hysterics with the questions and remarks my kids were making! It was all just too much!!

So a lovely day spent outside...alas I had bad hay fever the rest of the day from all the wind and grasses!

The curiosities of kids are just too funny! Great idea to have them paint there with you :)

That kinds of reminds me of the day we went to the zoo and the ostriches were mating.... That was quite a sight! And the questions afterwards were, well, slightly awkward ;o)

Looks like it's spring - lucky you!!!

Bonnie, I'm just loving all the goodies you're creating for your Etsy store plus all the other beautiful paper creations you've been working on. And I just had to laugh at the turtle pic and my two are exactly the same when it comes to asking too many questions! And my Mum makes ATC's and I should get some from her and do a swap with you. She's back from a 4 month trip next week, so if you're up for it, let me know and I'll get some in the post to you. I'm sure she'd love some from South Africa :)
