It is sweltering here! We have had degrees of over 40 (celcious) some days. Our pool turned green and has a leak in it, so we had to let out all the water and we will have to patch it and restart. So it's been a yuck week with no pool and lot's of cold showers! Apparently the weather for the weekend is forecast to be a bit cooler, I certainly hope so!
I just wanted to share the decorations I did for the second baby shower I gave last Saturday.
The lady who I gave it for loves to be creative, like me. She knits and crochets and does baking and icing as a part time job. So I wanted to go along with that sort of creative theme.
From the paper chains...
To the left-over crochet squares from previous projects of mine as a garland. (she took this home with her)
The thank you favors were simple little brown envelopes I filled with chocolate covered peanuts and wrapped chocolates.
Some paper pinwheels as decorations.
The quiche I made
Tissue paper pompoms and tissue paper garlands
Have a great weekend!!

The decorations were so sweet...especially the granny square bunting...too cute...my sister will love this idea. The colors were so bright and loved the pom poms and garlands they always say "party". Hope it cools down a bit for you. We are having our cold weather here but it really has been a mild winter...which I'm so thankful for ;} Have a lovely weekend, fondly, Roberta

Loving your holiday photos Bonnie! Let me tell you a secret - you live in one of the most beautiful areas on earth! I love the Cape Winelands! There is so much to see and do and simply take in and enjoy! Your photos are amazing (as usual!) - they really look like postcards.
