Cederberg

The Cederberg is an amazing part of South Africa, up until December, I had not been to.
It is a place of (mostly) untouched beauty, striking rock formations, fynbos of nearly every color, and spectacular rivers and rock pools. Some might call it stark, but I loved this natural craggy wonderland we spent a week at in December.

Here are some of the photos I took while on holiday.
The river we swam in and kayaked down.

The river bed and surrounding mountain

some fynbos for the caravan

gorgeous flowers.

beautiful view.

This is where we jumped off into this lovely cold rock pool. A 25 min hike to get there and so worth it! {that is hubby and I in the water!}

Another view of the river, we sat a lot on that sandy bank!

The bridge going over the river to the campsite.

The long and windy and very, very bad gravel road to get to the campsite! (grueling and horrible!)

Well that is it of the Cederberg photos! I hope you enjoyed them!
