Cherry Picking and Bains Kloof Pass

We went cherry picking again this year. (2 Jan)
You might recall this post.

I had my sister in law and niece with too which was really nice to share that with them.

We picked a huge amount. {made cherry ice-cream and cherry crumble with it-more on that in another post!) and froze a huge amount too.

then we took "the road less traveled" down to a vineyard. {hubby was in his 4x4!}







Gorgeous burst of color from these cannes.




The scene below I think encapsulates all what the Cape is...the mountains, vineyards, Cape Dutch style houses and bougainvillaea. I love this picture!



So that was our day cherry picking and an amazing scenic route home!

Wow...that was a fantastic scenic route home for sure. Love the vineyards and the cherries...just wish I wasn't allergic to them! Really love how you focused in on the pink bougainvillaea flowers...so beautiful.
