*sleeping in late (definition of late would be about 8am, seeing as though on a school day the alarm goes off at 6!)
*lying in bed in the early morning before the kiddies have woken up-enjoying looking outside at the trees and hearing the birds
*drinking that first cup of coffee in bed while reading a magazine/book(ultimate bliss and something I NEVER get time to do besides school hols!)
*while loving my quiet time I equally love it when the kids burst into the room in the mornings and climb under the covers for a snuggle! The fact my 10 year old boy still loves this makes my heart warm, because I know one day that time will be gone...
*Treasuring the sound of their early morning, quiet chattering and playing, the giggling, the sound of pretend play...
*seeing the toys scattered around the house, letting them have their fun and letting my routine become a lot more relaxed!
*Loving the fact I don't have to go racing off to get them to school or fetch them or have a time-constraint.
*Lot's of movie-watching and pop-corn eating
*teaching the kids how to bake. (my son made these crunchies from start to finish all on his own and they were delicious!)
*finding time to enjoy sunsets
*lot's of games like Uno, snakes and ladders and cards.
*tickling fights
sigh....wishing for the next school holidays already!xx

awwww sweet, I love all those things too, but thats why weekends are good!
Tom is always up before everyone else, he normally wakes me with the sound of his playing (do all kids put on an american accent when they play??!)

I know just how you feel! Even though my boys are all grown up and have left the nest...having them home for the holidays is pure bliss ;} We all so enjoy the simple things...sleeping in, watching "hotel" tv {really lame shows that you would never normally watch but in a hotel bed...it works ;) Enjoying cups of coffee or tea all morning, playing games late into the night and eating loads of good food together ;} Now you've got me missing the holidays....ahhhh...very sweet post.
