Niki and the gang.

Nicki Trench has this adorable book called Super Cute Crochet. I have made a few things from it ...the sugar mice, the little bunny and kitten. Niki is a little crocheted dolly I made yesterday, after many insistent pleadings from my daughter....

The story of Niki

Niki, was soon introduced to the rest of the toys in the room but after a while, she wanted to go outside and explore the big wide world, and have a picnic. She got rather hot and so took off a jersey she had borrowed from Teddy...

Niki is really a rather likeable doll, so different to Naughty 'Amelia Jane' she had read about in the story book that sat on the bookshelf. Soon Niki was joined by bunny and mousey and they chatted and drank tea in the late afternoon sun.

Mousey went on to relate the story of his birth, which was December 2010. He was crocheted while on a car journey to a place called St. Francois. Along with Cheesy, his brother. Niki listened in awe as little Mousey told her about a place called "the sea". Niki cannot imagine such a vast bowl of water exists and inquired as to when she might go and see this "sea" for herself.

Bunny however, was not interested in seeing so much water. He rather wished to know if there exists a land of carrots and apples. Mousey said he was not sure and would ask wise old owl later that evening. Bunny also wished to know why he had been crocheted with such thin wool as his stuffing was starting to come out and was making him rather itchy. He did, however, rather like his fluffy little white tail.

Niki, feeling rather light headed, lay down, and began day dreaming of places to explore and new things to see...

oh bon, this has cheered me up! such a funny cute little story! esp bunny wondering why he was so thin!! Little tea cups are ADORABLE! as are Niki, mousey and bunny!
also I loved amelia jane too! i felt somewhat of a kindred spirit with her (being a middle child and all!!) and all the other toys were much too stuck up!! hahahaaha!
Also loved 'My Naughty Little Sister' as well. It read like an biography of me!!
