An Autumn Tea party

Last Week I gave a little Autumn tea party for a few older ladies I know.
Here are the photo's from it.

I made the gift bags.
The gift bags were simply brown paper bags, cut open, sewn again. I made the ruffle tape from crepe paper. (will be available in my shop this week). I used an old book and tore out some pages. Then a paper doily, a manilla tag and printed pictures of a photograph I took of the flowers that inspired my theme/color scheme.
After the little gifts were inside, I punched two holes for the string to go through to tie it closed and attached a gift tag to the string with a teeny tiny clothes pin.
Designed a quick label on the computer for the soaps.
 Before...
 After...
 The Table.
Some of my favorite books stacked up and tied with ribbon.
Lot's of acorns, pine cones, autumn leaves.
A Carrot cake....
For the flowers, I simply put some double sided tape on the glass, attached some leaves and secured with twine.
I made some no-crust cucumber sarmies on a little 2-tier plate stand. My little collection of birds, nests and eggs went well with the autumn theme. This little tea party was very cost effective. I didn't spend any money on decorations, everything nature provided, and I made the gift bags with what I had at home.

Here is a close up of one of the gift bags.
I am going to be selling ones similar to this -as a DIY kit in my shop soon.

Thanks for looking! I hope this inspires somebody to give their own little tea party!

We are welcoming Spring here in the States and looking forward to the warmer weather so it always surprises me when I see your blog and the opposite weather conditions. Hope you have a lovely fall.
