Sneaky peeks at unfinished crochet projects

So I said yesterday I would show you some crochet projects i am working on...but they are not done yet, so you will have to bear with me and in the meantime enjoy these photos with the (unfinished) crochet projects in the background!
These stunning roses are from my garden. I caught them a bit worse for wear, but to me, they still looked beautiful, even thought slightly bruised around the edges! (they smell heavenly and best of all were free!)
You can see the grey COWL I am working on in the background. The Softest yarn ever. I am ALMOST done and will show you photo's and give you the pattern which I made up when I am done.

These sorbet ruffled mess is a SHAWL for my daughter. It started off as a lace collar but I didn't like it and carried on with it -making stuff up as I went along. It is very ruffley and she loves it so far as it is cream, pink and peach. I have a few more cm to go and then it should be done.
I thought it complimented my roses quite well!
Turnip...yum. I made a hearty winter soup last night and these went in...but it's not the turnips i wanted to show you, it's the new little dishcloth I made for my kitchen out of all my left over scraps!
And lastly just something pretty...It is SO cold here yesterday and today. Pouring with rain and I have been wearing jeans, a cowl and long boots! I treated myself to these gorgeous Autumn colored florals yesterday.
Just love them!
They make me feel all warm and cozy!
speaking of warm and cozy..this winter will be just that as for the first time we will have a fireplace! We just bought a gorgeous ceramic raku fireplace (got it half price too as we found it on the classifieds!). Today we are collecting our flue and this weekend installing it! I cannot wait! We have wanted one for years but never wanted a jet master. This ceramic fire place suits my style and home so perfectly! It looks vintage and shabby chic!
I know a lot of you are going into spring, but for us we are in Autumn now and in for a cold winter I reckon!
What's your favorite thing about Spring or Autumn?

edited to add: I am finished the cowl! You can find the tutorial (with photographs) and printable pattern here . Thanks!

Oh bon those roses are so gorgeous!! Somehow home grown roses are always better then shop bought. I wish i had a lovely big rose bush...one day!!
Enjoyed the sneak peeks!
And your autumn flowers, and they're red. Surprising! You've not always been a fan of red! Are you coming round to it?!!
Our spring still isn't here properly. Daffodils are just coming out now. But it was cold and occasionally drizzly here today.i am just longing for some warmth!!

Gosh you are busy! Lucky it's Autumn, so you have plenty of excuse to stay indoors and crochet!
