Detail of one of them. The butterfly is raised off the paper.
Today it was a lovely day and I was outside with the kids and the camera and we came across these two lovely, but very different ladybirds. My daughter had the idea to take them both and stick them both in this flower and so I got snappy!! I love how they came out. you can click on them to see bigger if you like.
If you click on this one and view it larger, you will see a tiny insect in amongst the pollen. Fascinating as I never saw that at first, only when I took a look at the photo on the PC.
In this photo, you can see the ladybirds face, so adorable.
And we also spotted this pretty butterfly.
Along the theme of birds and such. Look what I have coming out this weekend

Here is one of a friend of mine and me and I used her "Secret Window" kit

Before our ascend up the mountain. We eventually reached the tree line before the mountain turns to rock!
One of the many steep paths we went up! I got out for this one! It is like you are lying on your back in the car!!
View from the mountain we were on. Cape Town mountains in the distance.
View of Somerset West and Stellenbosch
i love the moody sky in this one!
It was about 11:30 am here, yet the sky had a tinge of peach and pink. So pretty. IT is freezing so high up!
A mountain weed! -A very pretty one!
We were driving along, high up in the mountains on our 4 x 4 drive, when I spotted something red showing through the trees. I just got this flash as we drove past and so we stopped and up the steep bank were these mushrooms. Red ones with white dots and orange ones with white dots. I have seen pictures of these before but never real ones! They are not even touched up in PS -as you see is the color they really are!

I have also been making anniversary cards for friends.. they are decoupaged and have lace and ribbon trimming sewn on.
Tomorrow is scrap morning! I go to a friends house to do scrap booking (paper) until 12. I am working on a heritage album at the moment. Chat soon!
